Don’t Forget About the Initials

When choosing a middle name it’s important to write down the initials you’ll create for each combination you’re considering. This will allow you to check that they don’t spell any words that you don’t like as there are plenty of words that can be spelt with three letters and even more possibilities if you choose to have two middle names or have a double barrel surname.

Once you’ve got a short list of name combinations it’s useful to search for the initials online to check they aren’t an acronym for anything you wouldn’t want your child associated with.
