Parenting Life

In this section of the blog there are lots of general posts about parenting life. As a total introvert, I’ve written about what it’s like to parent when you aren’t overly keen on other people as well as what it’s like to be an ontogeny raising an extrovert child (tricky, is the short version).

I have also explored my dislike of playing, what that means about me as a parent and about other ways to engage with your children that isn’t involve pretending to be a fire fighter hosing down an imaginary building for hours on end.

You’ll also find some stuff about saving money on family life, parenting with migraines and my passion for nearly new.

Alternatives to Play: Ways to enjoy your children when you hate playing

Written by Josie

Alternatives to play

It’s no secret that playing really isn’t my thing. Actually, I hate playing. I loathe getting down on the floor and acting out scenes with dolls and when I hear the worlds “lets pretend” I just want to go and hide in the toilet. But do you know what? None of that makes me a […]
