Having been a work from home mum for the last 8 years, I decided I wanted to write a book to help other mums who wanted to find a flexible way to work around their family. I planned the write this book at the start of 2021 abs almost didn’t when the government announced that schools would close again but I decided that I’d put off enough things already because of lockdown and didn’t want my work from home mum book to be another one.

I absolutely loved this book. The way it was set out sharing your experiences as well as others and giving not just some job options but actually looking at what you’re good at and what you enjoy whilst managing expectations. It’s given me a lot to think about! I’ve recommended it to a few friends who have been thinking of a change of career, have been made redundant or just hate their job. I have so many ideas and things that I want to learn or develop. I’ve kept a “diary” of all of these things so I can look back on them and expand into new things when I have the opportunity. Thanks again for such an inspiring and insightful book. I would love to know if you’re planning a follow up, a sort of “what happened next” collection of stories? If you’ve read Eat, Pray, Love (or watched the movie), Elizabeth Gilbert wrote a follow up called Eat, Pray, Love Made me do it.

Thank you for your kind words, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I hadn’t thought about a follow up but that sounds like a great idea, definitely worth looking into.

This looks really interesting! I write my blog while the kids are at preschool/school which is 2 hours a day. I have another year before my youngest goes to school so I will be looking to carry on working from home then. I’m finding it hard to earn enough at the moment and with little time, this is definitely holding me back! I will definitely take a look at your book!

It’s so hard to squeeze everything in isn’t it? I hope the book helps you find something that suits you.
